STRIKERS USE IRON BARS VOLUNTEERS ASSAULTED (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) SYDNEY, Tuesday. Savage attacks were made, presumably by strikers upon volunteer workers who were going home from the Rozelle timber mills. Iron bars were used by the attackers, but the volunteers fought back and put them to flight. The mill foreman was also attacked when he was near his home. He managed to escape uninjured. Charles Hopner was remanded today on a charge of inciting three unknown persons to assault James Stevenson, tijnber worker, on Friday.
