OLD MAN LOST AT SEA

RECENT VISIT TO AUCKLAND SYDNEY, Tuesday. Mr. E. J. Hayes, aged 70, who was a passenger by the Marama from Auckland, disappeared on the voyage to Sydney yesterday. His bed had not been slept in. It is presumed that Mr. Hayes was lost overboard. Formerly he was a well-known book publisher in Sydney.
