BIG INSURANCE
3S COMPANIES SEEKING HOSPITAL BUSINESS
WANT EVEN DISTRIBUTION Equal distribution by the Auckland Hospital Hoard of its insurance business is again being urged by 3S tire and accident insurance companies operating in Auckland. Following a request for such distribution made some time ago. the plea from the 3$ companies reached the board once more yesterday afternoon. The fact that the board, as a public concern, had placed its insurance business with Government offices, was not overlooked in the plea. "We are not suggesting that the present company should not receive a share of the business.” the 3S companies said, "but we think that there should be equal distribution.” Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of the board, remarked that the boards' insurance business had been placed with the State, after careful consideration, several years ago. "If there is a question of reinsurance." Mr. Wallace added. "1 consider that the business should be placed in the hands of New Zealand companies only." The board left the question in the hands of the Finance Committee for report.
