Long queues of people wait outside the Soviet’s shops in the vain hope of securing adequate rations. —U.S. NOVEL SEAPLANE. —The trial flights have been successfully completed of a special seaplane commissioned by tlio British Air Ministry. Its wings fold back and make it possible for it to bo carried on a submarine, from which it can quickly be launched. —U.S. SYDNEY S AIRDROME.—The Federal Government proposes to spend £36,000 on improvements to the Mascot airdrome, primarily to develop civil aviation. The improvements will consist of new buildings, modern hangars, and the grading of the landing
