£17,400 WANTED
WHANGAREI’S WATERMAINS EXTENSION NECESSARY (From Our Own Correspondent) WHANGAREI, To-day. The Whangarei Borough Council last evening decided to submit to the Local Government Loans Board a loan proposal of £17,400 for the purpose of enlarging the present watermains and extending the system. This improvement has been made necessary by the growth of Whangarei, which enjoys one of the most serviceable water supplies in New Zealand.
