SYDNEY STRIKE ASSAULT FIERY SCENE IN HOUSE (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 10 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. A reward of £250 has been offered for information leading to the conviction of the persons guilty of the assault on timber workers at Rockdale on Thursday. The police have ascertained that efforts were made to maim Stevenson after he was kicked into unconsciousness.

A fiery scene took place in the Legislative Assembly, when Mr. Weaver (Nationalist) appealed for the protection of volunteer workers, and demanded the prosecution of Mr. Culbert, a member of the Legislative Council, for participation in the strike.
