A MOTOR MYSTERY
LESLIE WILLIAMS CASE ACTION ABANDONED MELBOURNE, Friday. Tiio police have decided to take no further action in connection with the unexplained disappearance and eventual return to his home of Mr. Leslie Williams, whose car was found abandoned at Donnybrook. A sum of £4OO was spent in the endeavour to unravel the mystery.
Mr. Williams confirms the statement of the swagsman, Joseph Viscoe, who was arrested in connection with the matter, to the effect that liquor was consumed in the car and a fight occurred.
The police intend to withdraw the vagrancy charge against Viscoe, who will be released.
