LAW SOCIETY’S PROTEST
SUPREME COURT ADDITIONS A special general meeting of the Auckland District Law Society yesterday passed a resolution protesting against any curtailment or library accommodation as shown in the plans prepared four years ago for additions to the Supreme Court building. The meeting also recognised that it was of the utmost importance in the interests of the Dominion and the city to preserve the ground surrounding the Supreme Court free from buildings of any kind, and urged the Government and the City Council to take steps to attain that end.
