nearer great south rd. PAPATOETOE DEPUTATION The necessity tor a post office nearer the Great South Road traffic than the present one was urged by a deputation of Papatoetoe residents who waited upon the lion. J. B. Donald, Post-master-General. this morning. The deputation was introduced by Mr. A. W. Hall, M.P. for Huuraki. Mr, F. H. Leonards, as spokesman, asked that the old post office at Papatoetoe be shifted from its present position to somewhere between Hunter’s Corner and the school. At tho present time there were no postal facilities for motorists and the stream of traffic that passed over the Great South Road. A post office was required that would give money-order facilities, postal service and post office boxes. fh® Minister said lie knew there was a real need for a post office there. Though he could not promise them a post office, he might be able to provide th® postal facilities necessary*.
