SOUTH AFRICAN SENATE EXPRESSES DISAPPROVAL OF GERMAN TRADE TREATY
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) CAPETOWN, Thursday. The Senate adopted a motion disapproving of the German trade treaty by 20 votes to 15. One member, who is an extensive wine producer, said that Australia and New Zealand were looking askance at South Africa’s action. He foresaw that the good relations between the Dominions would be disturbed. The discussions had already led to repercussions' affecting the fruit export.
