PRINCE STARTLES LONDON TAILORS BY STRANGE DRESS

Reed. 11.55 a.m. LONDON, Wed. The combination of a grey check pull-over, a dinner jacket, a soft shirt and double collar worn by the Prince of Wales in presenting prizes to hoy boxing champions has set West End tailors coughing firmly behind their hands.

The young men about town who take their fashion lead from the Prince are staggered. West End tailors to-day remind the newspapers that the Prince of W T ales is a law unto himself in dress. No one but the Prince would be justified in adopting such a startling change from convention as a pull-over with evening dress. No one else has sufficient courage.

One tailor said that for a cold night it was remarkably sensible, but he would be hopelessly outnumbered.
