GIRL GUIDE SWIMMERS
NORTH SHORE WINS SHIELD FINALS AT TEPID BATHS Great enthusiasm was shown by Girl Guides who thronged the Tepid Baths last evening to watch the finals of the guides’ swimming sports. The Rangers’ finals were held in addition. For the guides, the Wilson Shield was won by North Shore, which had a total of 74 points. Dr. Buckley Turkington presented the shield, and spoke on the fine display. During the interval, divers gave a performance, which had been arranged by Mr. Malcolm Champion. Devonport team won the Rangers’ Life-saving Cup. Results: WILSON SHIELD Open Championship.—North Shore 1. All Saints’ 2, North Shore 3.
