FEATURE ADVERTISING
BIG DISPLAY PLANNED j AUCKLAND'S EXHIBITION j Entirely new ideas are to be introduced into the 1929 exhibition of the Auckland Advertising Club in the Town Hall on May 27 to | June 1. Committees were ap- j pointed last evening to organise the various sections. Mr. F. W. Petterd, chairman of the j j exhibition committee, outlined this j I year’s proposals, and gave members an indication of the lay-out of the | pavilions and displays, which embrace j a fund of new features in effective I advertising. It is intended to provide for newspapers, outdoor publicity, agencies, novelties, window-dressing, packaging, and subsidiary aids to advertising. In the competition and entertainment sections, many novel features will be introduced, one of which is to show an up-to-date office equipped with the latest mechanical aids in business organisation. The club has received a number of posters from the Publicity Department of the High Commissioner’s Office. London, which will enhance the value of Auckland’s display. At last evening’s meeting, which was held as a social function, vocal and musical items were given by Messrs. L. Eskrigg, J. H. Battersby, and W. H. V. Taine.
