BRITISH NAVAL POLICY

AN AMERICAN CRITICISM (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) WASHINGTON, March 11. Mr. F. A. Britten, chairman of the Naval Committee of the House of Representatives, says the British Naval Estimates, in his opinion, indicate that Britain proposes to maintain a navy equal to the combined forces of all the other nations instead of pursuing her present policy of a navy equal to that of any two nations. “It is quite evident.” says Mr. Britten, “that all the talk by British statesmen of high rank to the effect that Britain is slowing up her warship building is only a bait for American internationalists and pacifists.”
