A message from Rabaul, New Guinea, *ays that as a result of friction between the members of the missions at Bougainville Island over the erection "f a church, the Commissioner, Judge Phillips, will leave with native police to investigate the activities of the missions.

The missions involved are those of ■he Roman Catholic Marist Society, the Methodist Missionary Society of N*ew Zealand, and the Seventh Day Adventists. In one case a Protestant native mission teacher was forcibly ejected from 4 village at the instigation of the Priests.
