O’Meara, of Hasting?. are passengers by the Aorangl. They intend making a tour of the United States and Great Britain. Mr. W. Sampson Handley, the eminent London surgeon and cancer expert. was the guest of Sir Carrick and Lady Robertson. Alfred Street, during his stay in Auckland. The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGrneral. returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited. He will not ive any official engagements until Thursday. Mr. A. M. Niblock was presented at Lie Advertising Club luncheon to-day Pith the gold badge of life membership. as a sign of appreciation of his wurk for the club ;as secretary. Mr. H. G. Lakeman, telegraph engineer at Auckland, has been appointed principal of the telegraph division of die General Post Office. He will succeed Mr. J. M.
