NON-STOP DANCING
EXHIBITION NEXT WEEK
A novel contest will commence at :1 p.lll. next Tuesday. at the Scots Hall. Symonds Street. when Mr. Bert Nicholl, late of J. C. Williamson’s theatres and the World’s champion nonstop dancer. will commence an attempt to dance for 105 hours without stopping. Bert Nicholl holds the World's record for non-stop dancing of 101 hours, established in Christchurch, on Febru—ary 9. and is out to break his record by four hours. To succeed in his attempt he must dance from 2 p.m. next Tuesday. l\larch 19. until 11 p.m. the following Saturday night, March 23, Without ceasing for a minute. He will eat, shave, wash and be nias—saged in full view of the public While dancing. Mr. Niqlioll will be partnered by six Auckland girls, who will dance in relays of two hours each before en—joying a 12 hours’ rest. Mr. Nicholl is from Australia. and he very well-known as an exhibition dancer. He has broken six world’s records of non-stop dancing. and is now out to establish an even greater Derformance in Auckland next week. ‘A committee of Auckland citizens will certify that 11.12 Nicholl does not cease ’dancing at any period during his attempt. The public will be admitted at {any hour during the attempt. and the doors of Scots Hall Will always be |OD9D._ _ _ _ 7 ,
A big dance will be held in Scots Hall next Tuesday. and Bert. Nichol! will be seen dancing his way round the clock.
