LATE MRS. S. J. MATTHEWS
DAUGHTER OF MR. JOHN COURT By the death in Sydney of Mrs. S. J. Matthews, the family of Mr. John Court, Hamilton Road, Punsonby, has lost one of its senior members. Mrs. Matthews, whose death is announced to-day, lived for a number of years in Mosman, Sydney. The members of her* family are the Rev. John Matthews, of Sj'dney. Mrs. R. M. Grant, of Auckland, and two unmarried daughters, who have lived with their mother in Sydney. Mesdames C. Rainger, Taylor and English, and Messrs. J. W. Court, A. PI. Court, H. J. Court, and G. F. Court, directors of John Court, Ltd., are the remaining members of Mr. John Court’s family. Mrs. Rainger and Mr. G. F. Court are at present in Sydney. With other members of the family, Mrs. Matthews was born at Home, but spent her youth in Auckland. She resided in Sydney in order to be near I, son, who entered the Anglican Churcu as a curate.
