BORROWING COSTS £5 (From Our Own Correspondent) HUNTLY. To-day. At the Police Court this morning Snowy Steven, a native, was fined £5 and costs, in default one month’s imprisonment, for converting to his own use a motor-car belonging to Mr. James H. Potter, of Rangiriri. The police report was that the numerous ro&ding works about the Lower Waikato were responsible for a growing number of petty thefts, and the Bench signified its intention of sharply dealing with offenders in future.
