BRIDGING THE TASMAN
AUSTRALIAN CORRESPONDENTS FOR SUNBEAMS
THE Dawn Lady has been in communication with the editor of the children’s pages in a wellknown Australian journal, who states that innumerable little Australians wish to correspond with children in New Zealand. In her last letter she writes: “It is a thoroughly good idea, I think, for young people to make friendships with those of other countries, and it certainly brings interest and happiness to many boys and girls who live in remote parts of Australia and to whom mail day is the greatest excitement cf the week.” The Dawn Lady therefore invites children of 15 and under to forward their names, ages and addresses so that a list of young New Zealanders desiring Australian correspondents c*in be dispatched to the Australian editor as soon as possible. Those who are not Sunbeams should also fill in the enrolment form at the foot of the page. The closing date for the first list of names is March 30.
