FLYER FATALLY BURNED

PLANE NOSE-DIVES A TRAGEDY IN VICTORIA | (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) MELBOURNE. Thursday. Another flying fatality occurred this afternoon. A Moth airplane belonging to the Air Force crashed at Wangaratta. 150 miles north-east of Melbourne, while it was en route to Richmond from Melbourne. Flying-Officer Herbert Warland was burned to death, and Flight-Lieuten-ant Swinbirne was seriously burned when trying to*rescue Mr. Warland. The airplane had been refuelled and ! was taking off when it struck a tree ! and nose-dived.
