FIRE AT OPOTIKI
RESIDENCE AND CONTENTS DESTROYED (From Our Own Correspondent) OPOTIKI, Thursday, i A six-roomed dwelling, owned and | occupied by W. Kirkbride, situated |at Hikutaia, about two miles from Opotiki, was totally destroyed by tire 1 soon after two o’clock this afternoon. At the time of the outbreak the | family was in town. The lire was : first discovered by neighbours, and practically nothing was saved. The contents were insured in the Liverpool. London and Globe Office for .2 300, and the house for £7OO in the same office.
