“THE HAUNTED HOUSE’’
“ r llie Haunted House,” to be shown this evening at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres, is a mystery picture relieved by more than the usual amount of comedy. An eccentric old man of wealth, apparently dying, sends
ofr his four possible heirs and gives to each various instructions and sealed letters, telling them that on no account are they to enter an old house that is supposed to be haunted. Over-
come by curiosity, they do so. and their subsequent adventures are alternately thrilling and amusing. The cast includes Larry Kent, Chester Conklin. Thelma Todd, Edmund Breese and Sidney Bracy.
“Home James,” the second feature, is the latest Laura La Plante comedy and shows the famous star as a shop girl in love with a chauffeur.
James Hall will be seen in the character of an Austrian officer in “The Case of Lena Smith.” and Esther Ralston in that of a peasant girl. The locale of the picture is Vienna.
