Keen interest was s.lown in the juvenile classes. There w »re fully 100 ponies on the ground, the display drew the crowd like a uuignet. SteveYison (Taupiri) • said that the quality was up to th standard of any of the larger show t .The champion cow. Nu Kiwi Merced. secured her seventh championship. Mr. 11. 'y - Reeves possessed an ouLA anding ar.»mal. The yearling Ueii'a r class of 12 entries was worthy of s\ >eeial mention. Mrs. Clements’s Lav T -Nita oi Glen Lynne showed gre: it pre *mise. The champion bull of the AVaika to Show'. Bracken King Pietje again annexed the honours. He was a Type. He was particularly pleased ai ith the male youngsters. In. his remarks regardii \g 7he Ayrshires, Mr. F. Mills, of Wai pupa (Taranaki) said he was very p leaded with the section. Breeders in t.'le Waikato were apparently paying attention to breeding on utility points. Th e aged bulls were the best he had sei n out this year. The champion shouUlhave been taken to the Royal Sh 9w. The two-year-old bull, Ivintocher 11% ctor. was fit to compete anywhere. Commenting on the Jerseys, 3tr. i A. C. Jones (Northcote) said he natui - ally expected to find good Jerseys, an d was not disappointed, but he obs«rvA cl that the entries of several promineir. t breeders were missing. The qua lits was uniformly good. Mr. Moreland's champion bull, Fairy’s Eminent eigh, was an outstanding animal. OClue* females were up to the standard hibited at any country show.
