HEPAIRS TO ST. PAUL'S. —At the Present rate of progress with, the repairs to St. Paul’s it is expected that 'ne whole of the Cathedral will be available for the services in connection the Lambeth Conference in the Rummer of 1930. The repairs so far Pave cost £154,000. —A.P.A.-U.S. AMERICA AND EUROPE. —Mr. Elihu Root, a former American Secreary of State, conferred with M. Briand, French Foreign Minister. Mr. Root submitted a formula which would enable the United States to join the nague. This formula probably will be ***Uhined at a conference of jurists, "ho are to meet at Geneva next week.
