FIRE AT OTAHUHU
BRIGADE’S GOOD SAVE
The Otahuhu Fire Brigade effected a good save at a railway employee’s house owned by the Government and occupied by Mr. Snowden in Walmsley Road, Otahuhu, at 11.30 p.m. yesterday. The alarm was received over the telephone and the brigade was on the scene within a couple of minutes. The fire was in a washhouse adjoining the residence, and assisted by a high pressure of water the brigade was able to confine the outbreak to the washhouse, which was considerably damaged.
