CARNIVAL AT PAPATOETOE

At a meeting of delegates representing the Papatoetoe School Committee and teaching staff, and the Papatoetoe Cricket Club, held on Monday evening, it was decided to hold a carnival on March 23. The proceeds will be divided equally between the cricket club and the public school sports fund. A committee of representatives of each body was appointed to draft a programme to include fancy drill, folk dances and children’s races, and a number of novelty events for the grown-ups. Application is to be made to the Town Board for the use of the recreation ground on the Great South Road. Stalls for the disposal of a miscellaneous assortment of articles will be erected.
