Boy Falls Under Leaded Wagon
ACCIDENT IN NEWMARKET
CYCLE SKIDS ON TRAMLINES
When he was cycling through Newmarket about 8.15 this morning, lan Wilson, a school boy, aged 14, skidded on the tram-lines just opposite the post office and fell under the wheels of a loaded wagon belonging to Andrew and Sons.
One wheel passed right over the boy’s body, and after first-aid treatment had been administered by Dr. M. G. Pezaro he was taken to hospital with serious internal injuries. The accident occurred just between the post office and the new safety zone at the north end of Broadway. The boy’s parents live in Bridgewater Road.
