THIEF FAILS TO REFORM
DEFRAUDED EMPLOYER TWICE Press Association WELLINGTON, To-duy. Failure to account to his employer, Mr. Casey, a dairyman of Khandallah, for amounts totalling £l9 17s lid, was the charge against Robert John McNichol, aged 27, labourer 'and roundsman. at Wellington to-day. He was sentenced to 12 months’ reformative detention. Frederick Keen, who had failed to account for £32 4s to George Remners, milliner, for whom he worked on a commission basis, will spend six months in gaol. Tt was stated that last year accused failed to acount for £ 102 Is, but was given a chance to make restitution. Tie repaid some small amounts, but doubts as to his honesty arose again. Money in his charge was taken this year.
