TOMATO RATES BETTER GREEN PEAS DEAR Tomato rates improved slightly on the City Markets to-day, but they are still extremely cheap. Large quantities of apples and pears are available, but values are well maintained. There is a good inquiry for first quality peaches. Bananas cpntinue to sell well. Better quality potatoes are selling more freely and rates show a slight improvement on the prices ruling for several weeks past. Green peas are dearer now and beans have also risen in value.
