POWER BOARD’S WORK

During the four weeks ending January 25, service gangs connected 11 underground and 272 overhead services, erected 39 poles, and strung 27.100 yards of cable. This was reported at a meeting of the Auckland Power Board yesterday afternoon. In the absence of the chairman, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, Mr. T. Bloodworth was elected to the chair. The engineer further reported that 18 poles and TOO yards of cable had been used in alterations to small extensions. Consideration of the first portion of the board’s loan moneys was deferred until the meeting of the board, to be held on Monday. January 11.
