UNIMPROVED VALUES

POLL ON RATING PROPOSAL The Waitemata County Council will hold a poll on Wednesday on the proposal to * introduce rating on unimproved values instead of on capital values. A petition asking for a poll was presented to the council by ratepayers on January 18. The poll should have been decided on February 15, but delay’s occurred, and representations were made to the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, who fixed March 6 as the last day on which the poll could be taken. The voting will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Mr. F. C. Rawle will be the returning officer.
