DIVORCE COURT BUSY

MORE BONDS BROKEN HOUSEKEEPER BECOMES WIFE “I secured a wife or, rather, a house- j keeper, by advertisement,” said Peter j Donald Wilson (Mr. Singer), who peti- : tioned against Lottie Elizabeth Wilson , on the ground of adultery, in the Supreme Court yesterday. Llewellyn Pritchard was cited as co-respondent. Petitioner married his housekeeper at Te Kauwhata. She was a heavy drinker, and absented herself from home. She admitted she came from Durban to New Zealand with co-re-spondent. An inquiry agent gave corroborative evidence of having seen respondent and Pritchard in a state of undress in a room. Mr. Justice Kennedy adjourned the suit pending further evidence. Failure tb comply with orders for restitution of conjugal rights was the ground upon which decrees nisi were made in the following cases:—Mary Simmonds (Mr. Singer) v. Harold E. Simmonds; Daniel Currie (Mr. Singer) v. Mary Grace Currie. Victor Frank Jones (Mr. Maekay) was granted divorce from Nellie Dorothy Jones, on the ground of desertion. Clarence Alfred Palmer (Mr. Duggan) was granted dissolution of his marriage with Alice Rosetta Palmer, on the ground of adultery. On the petition of Edith Rosalind Warren (Mr. Singer), William John Warren was ordered to make restitution of conjugal rights.
