"Renown Coal ordinaries are slightly {Weaker, selling at 17s 3d at mid-day, Compared with a market at 18s at the time of the last sale, over a fortnight ago. The market closed at mid-day with sellers asking 17s 9d and buyers withdrawn to 17s. that N.Z. Paper Mills have firmed since the date of their last sale a month ago. to see business in the South yesterday at 18s 3d, an advance of Is 3d over the period. Wilsons Cements are easier, sales being made at 39s 9d. W'hittome Stevensons are firming. The market for Waihi mining scrip sagged badly at mid-day. sales being made down to 13s 2d and, with more offering at that figure when the market closed, buyers were not prepared to go Business yesterday afternoon.— Northern Steam, 6s lid; Mt.
