TAUMARUNUI, Wednesday.

The Governor-General Sir Charles Fergusson and Lady Alice Fergusson arrived in Taumarunui by special train last night. They left by car for Kirikau at 10.30 a.m. to-day. They will be on the houseboat to-morrow and will leave by boat for Pipiriki. From Pipiriki they will continue down the river to Wanganui, where they will spend Friday night. The journey will be broken to enable their Excellencies to visit some of the Maori pas, where they will be welcomed by the natives.
