VETERAN BOWLERS MEET

AGES TOTAL 598 YEARS (Special to THE SUN) TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. Representatives of Te Awamutu and Cambridge played a veterans’ bowling match recently on the Te Awamutu Club’s greens. The total number of years represented by the two teams of lour players each was 598. The Cambridge team was the senior, the four players’ ages amounting to 312 years, the Te Awamutu players' ages being 256 years. The individual ages were:—Cambridge: G. E. Clark, S 8 years; T. Simpson, 69; S. Cowling, 78; W. Mcarlane, 77. Te Awamutu: E. Rushbrooke, 73; W. Savill, 73; C. Bowden, 70; S. H. Dunkley, 70. The Cambridge team won by 29 points to 17.
