MINISTER IN NORTH
POLITICAL TOPICS BARRED (From Our Own Correspondent) KAITAIA, To-day. “If it is anything political, I do not want to hear it. 1 am not up here on a political tour,” remarked the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. P. A. do la Perrelle, when requested to give a private interview to a deputation from the Country Party. The Minister met members from the Waipapakauri Pacing Club and discussed racing affair, complimenting the club on the way its course had been kept. He was entertained at an informal dinner at Awanui by the club members, and afterwards received deputations in connection with sand drift, land settlement and the petrol tax. He promised to submit these proposals to the proper quarter when next in Wellington.
