LACKED EXPERIENCE
BANKRUPT STATIONER Inexperience was the cause ascribed by the official assignee, Mr. G. N. Morris, this morning- to the bankruptcy of Thorval Anders Frederick Jensen, stationer and timber mill manager. Jensen had lost all his own money and more in 10 months.’ unsuccessful trading in bookseling, Mr. Morris said, but there was no question of dishonesty. Unsecured debts were £454, secured debts £1,012, securities £1,065, assets £340, and the deficiency £ll4. Bankrupt began business in High Street in March, 1928, but lost heavily. He took over a business in Upper Queen Street, but debts in connection with the High Street venture troubled him and a distress warrant was issued. At one time, he had to go to timber work near Taihape. The meeting ended without a resolution and with Jensen’s assurance that he would make an offer.
