Obituary

MRS. MARTHA WELLS A resident of Devonport for 56 years, Mrs. Martha Wells, the wife of Mr. F. IT. Wells, died at her residence in Domain Street yesterday, after a long illness. The late Mrs. Wells was bora 77 years ago in New South Wales, and was married at Devonport in 1874. Her husband was the son of the gardener to Sir George Grey at Kawau Island. Six sons, living in the vicinity of Auckland, and three daughters—Mrs. A. Ferguson, of Devonport; Mrs. Frank McAneny, of Green Lane, and Mrs. E. Johnstone, .of Devonport—survive Mrs. Wells.
