FIRE AT MOUNT ALBERT

HEDGE PARTLY DESTROYED A hedge. 12ft high and about 50ft long, on Dr. Lindsay’s property in New North Road, caught on fire at 12.30 this afternoon. The Mount Albert Brigade received the call and suppressed the fire. The hedge was partly destroyed. The brigade also received a. call at 1.10 p.m. to a grass fire in Kingsway Avenue, Edendale. A number of fences were damaged and fowl-houses scorched.
