BENCH AND BAR MOURN DEATH OF CHIEF JUSTICE ELOQUENT WELLINGTON TRIBUTES Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. Bvidence of the high esteem in which the late Sir Charles Skerrett was held by the Supreme Court Bench was shown to-day when the Bench and Bar joined in expressing sorrow at the loss suffered by his death. On the bench were Mr. Justice Herdman, Mr. Justice Chapman and Mr. Justice Frazer. Among others present were Sir Francis Bell, Mr. A. Fair, Solicitor-General, Mr. A. Gray, Jv.G., president of the Mew Zealand LawSociety, Sir John Findlay, Mr. M. Myers, K.C., Mr. C. IT. Treadwell, Mr. Johnston, president of the Wellington Law Society, and Mr. White, vicepresident, magistrates, and the Undersecretary of Justice.
