An objection was voiced against church organisations holding bazaar;? and entertainments on Friday nights. The question of organising a “Shop in Otahuhu Week,” and the subsidising of a bus service from outlying districts on Friday nights, was left with the executive. TAURANGA TOPICS The Tauranga Co-operative Building Society held an appropriation of .€SOO by ballot ~ recently, Air. T. Carter holding the winning number. The society has loaned to members a total of £II,OOO. At a public meeting convened by the Mayor it was decided to hold a winter exhibition and carnival in Alay next. A large committee of business men was elected. It is to be held under the auspices of the A. and P. Society.
