A WOMAN SLASHED
DARLINGHURST CRIME MAN’S UNREQUITED LOVE Kecd. 10.10 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. A crowd of persons saw a young: man slash at the throat of Mrs. Ellen Kelly with a razor in Crown Street, Darlingliurst. In an effort to protect herself, Mrs. Kelly received a cut on the arm and one finger was nearly severed. The man was later arrested and charged with maliciously wounding.
It is believed to be a case of unrequited love.
