AUCKLAND GOLF COACH
JAMES WATT’S APPOINTMENT James Watt, the well-known Auckland golf professional and coach, has been appointed professional at Heretaunga and will leave for Wellington next week. This will leave a vacancy in the coaching circuit round all the outside golf clubs, particularly North of Auckland. EVERSLIE CLUB The third annual meeting of the Everslie Golf Club was held last evening. Mr. C. J. Lovegrove, vice-president, occupied the chair. The report submitted by the secretary, Mr. R. O’Neil, showed the club to be in a flourishing condition, the standard of play having much improved. Membership had been well maintained. The most important inter-club match was that against the Pukekohe Club Cor the Balfour Irvine Cup. Everslie being successful in regaining the cup. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr. Balfour AV. Irvine; president, Mr. P. J. Parker; vice-presi-dents. Messrs. C. J. Lovegrove and E. D. McLennan: captain, Mr. S. D. Rice; vice-captain, Mr. C. S. Beechey; secretary, Mr. O. F. McDonald; treasurer, Mr. C. S. Beechey; committee. Messrs. P. Hogen, J. Dykes, R. O’Neill, G. F. Page and L. L. E. Chapman: auditor, Mr. R. O'Neill.
