WAVING ARMS ABOUT
LABOURER FINED 10 - In the opinion of Sub-Inspector McCarthy, drink has a peculiar effect on William Patrick, who pleaded guilty at the Police Court this morning £o being disorderly while drunk in Broad: way, Newmarket. “Owing to the effects of liquor this man was behaving in a most peculiar manner.” said the sub-inspector. “A constable remonstrated with him, but it was no good, and he insisted on wandering about the street waving his arms and using language that was not too choice.” Patrick, who was making his first bow to the Court, was fined 10s.
