In the fourth cricket test at Adelaide Don Bradman broke a record that the late Victor Trumper established IS years ago. Trumper scored 1,246 runs in first-class cricket in Australia in the 1910-11 season. When Bradman began his first innings in the Adelaide test his total was 1,207. Bradman scored 40 and 58, and so made a new record of 1,305 runs.
