RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM
“THE ENEMY” | One of the greatest screen dramas | of the year is “The Enemy,” starring Lillian Gish, which is now at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres. The story of “The Enemy” centres around the life of a foung wife throughout the war period, and paints war vividly as it is fought by the women, children, and old men left behind. Some of the most marvellous direction, fully exploiting all the human interest, the laughs and the j drama that goes to make life, must be ' credited to Fred Xiblo, who will always be remembered as the director , of “Ben-Hur." “Do Your Duty!” which is also being < shown at these theatres, is a merry ! tale of a policeman’s misfortunes, with \ Charles Murray in the leading role. ( Charles King’s work in Broadway , Melody,” Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s first all-talking and singing picture. A 1 selection for the leading male role opposite Marion Davies in “The Five O’clock Girl,” w’hich will also be an all-talking and singing picture. All Green will direct, and the supporting cast includes George K. Arthur. Aileen Prinsrle, Curmelita Geragbty and Polly Moran.
