EMPLOYERS IN INDIA An employer with no labour troubles on bis mind is Captain R. D. Mackie, of Darjeeling, who arrived by the Ulimaroa yesterday on a Ashing trip. The captain is visiting agent for a group of plantations in Darjeeling and all the labour is done by the Nepalese, a fine class of people, much more intelligent than the plainsmen. From the Nepalese the Gurkha regiments are recruited. lie has no labour troubles whatever. Conditions in India are quite hopeful at present says Captain Mackie. Although there is an occasional outburst. the unrest is not general in the country. Having fished in most parts of the world and heard of the wonders or Taupo from his friends, the captain is here to see for himself.
