“WHITE GLOVES”
CLEAN COURT SHEET UNIQUE IN WANGANUI WANGANUI. To-day. A unique ceremony was held at tho Supreme Court this morning when Judge Smith was presented with a pair of white gloves, there being no criminal cases. As far as can be ascertained, during all the years the Supreme Court has functioned in Wanganui, there has never been-a similar occasion. The Judge said that the occasion was surely one for congratulation, considering the size of the city and the district. It was a tribute to the various civil, educational, philanthropic and religious organisations, th* , police and the administration of justice
