ST. JAMES
BRIGHT REVUE Foolery, and songs and dances of the highest quality are being provided at St. James Theatre this week by the George Wallace Revue Company. The second act, “Pickled Porter,” was written and produced by the versatile George Wallace himself. This tells of the everyday experiences of the porter at the Hotel Jazzbo. Wallace takes the title role. Supporting him are Marie Nyman. Marshall Crosby, Maida Jones and others, including the Six Rascals Ballet, whose frocking is beautiful and distinctive. The rest of the entertainment includes songs by Marie Nyman, who renders “I Love You Truly” with Tup Dudley, and “Just Like a Melody Out of the Sky” as a solo. Marshall Crosby is another popular singer, and lie impresses with “Cloze Props.” Maida Jones, Jack Scott and Bert Tucker contribute bright numbers. The Flaming Youths, George Wallace’s jazz band, give some minutes of enjoyment with good and merry music.
